Mardi Gras Parade is the largest celebration of its kind in Australia, and around the world.
Join us on March 3rd, from 7.45pm for a night-time spectacular that stops Sydney, as 9000 people make their way down Oxford and Flinders Streets in a colourful, outrageous demonstration of LGBTQI pride.

City to Surf

City2Surf is the world's largest run and Sydney's favourite sporting event. Join 80000 people on the 14km journey from Hyde Park in Sydney's CBD to Bondi The Sun-Herald City2Surf presented by Westpac is 14km in distance starting from the intersection of Park and College Sts in Sydney’s CBD before heading up William St and through the tunnel at Kings Cross. The course continues along New South Head Rd through Rose Bay, then up “Heartbreak Hill” (the halfway point) and also the toughest part of the course. More Info

GOLF

Coogee is a golfer’s paradise with 3 of Australia’s top 10 Golf Courses - New South Wales, The Lakes and the Australian (Australia’s oldest) - in close proximity. In addition, you will find Randwick Golf Course in Malabar and the Moore Park public golf course just up the road. Royal Sydney, St Michael’s and The Coast are a 20’ minute drive from the hotel.

WALK

The Coastal Walkway is one of Sydney's greatest assets and favourite walks and is clearly signposted. Magnificent panoramic views and coastal flora and fauna abound. Coastal Walk Map

To the North: follow the coast from Coogee Beach to Clovelly Beach and further past historic Waverley Cemetery (the location of Henry Lawson's grave and the largest memorial to the Irish people outside of Ireland) through to the bustling Bondi Beach.
To the South: the walk sinuously hugs the coastline to Maroubra Beach, via Grant Reserve, Trenery Reserve and Lurline Bay.

DIVING

Scuba Dive and follow the Diving Trail through the majestic underwater paradise of Gordon's Bay. The crystal clear waters are home to a cornucopia of beautiful and exotic fish, and a fascinating variety of other sea creatures. The tranquility of Gordon's Bay provides an excellent milieu for peaceful diving.

JOG, WALK, STROLL, RIDE, HORSE-RIDE in Centennial Park

The people's park since 1888 - The park offers cycling, walking and rollerblading tracks, horse riding, jog or stroll through the beautiful parklands (185 hectares).

SWIN/SURF

Coogee Beach is a safe beach and offers swimmers and surfers a great alternative to the Bondi Beach and Manly beach.

Coogee Beach is patrolled during summer by Surf Life Saving Australia. For your own safety it is always recommended to follow their instructions and to always swim in between the flags displayed on the beach.

SPORTING VENUES

The Sydney Football Stadium, formerly Aussie Stadium, is situated next to the Sydney Cricket Ground and plays host to Rugby League & Rugby Union, Football and concerts.


Alongside the Sydney Football Stadium in the Moore Park precinct, the Sydney Cricket Ground is the major ground in Sydney for Cricket and Australian Rules Football.


Three kilometres from Coogee, Royal Randwick Racecourse is one of the more popular racecourses in Sydney. The course has a reputation for being a good all-weather track, and holds major Australian races during the Autumn and Spring Racing Carnivals. Royal Randwick is the home of the Australian Jockey Club.
